He wasn't sure how she did but she raised them both well with just enough food to get by. He had been born in the hollow of a dead tree and didn't see the outside world until he was at least 6 months old. By then, his mother had managed to find a male she wanted to call her mate. He was a strong male but Nahani felt that there was something more about him. He seemed off, as though he had some secret agenda. His mother, on the other hand, was head over heels for him, constantly telling him to play with his pups and to try and establish a pack. By the time he was a year old, Nahani began to see the male's plan rolling through his head. Nahani's sister came to him one day, and told him she was pregnant but wouldn't tell him who the father was. Next, his mother got pregnant and no doubt they were this male's pups. Both of them. He began to strut around, marking the territory and finally establishing a pack. Nahani's mother was ecstatic to be having another litter but Nahani's sister was too young and terrified of something. She was constantly not eating and staying out in the cold too long. Nahani warned her she would loose her pups if she wasn't careful. About a month later, Nahani's sister went missing and his mother went into labor the same day. Leaving his mother in the hands of her mate, he went in search of his sister. He followed her tracks in the snow until he came to a small alcove protected from the wind and cold. There, he found a bloody pile and, upon careful inspection, realized that they were pups, his sister's pups. But it appeared that she had slaughtered them, ending their lives as soon as they were born. He followed her bloody tracks from the pups and found her body crushed against the rocks beneath the waterfall. Enraged and terrified, he ran for his mother but by the time he reached her, the scent of blood and gore reached his nose. Her mate had slaughtered her and the pups to finish his dark perverseness. He tracked down the male and challenged him to protect his mother's and sister's honor. What he didn't expect was how well trained this male was. He attacked him with the want to kill and nearly did.
